 A Personal Note

If my name sounds a familiar, it may be. Some of you may remember me in my “other life”.  I was the owner and chef of Brenda Kay’s Restaurant in downtown Easley, hosting private events and serving specialty lunches each day in the historic house on South 1st Street. Feeling the call of service on my heart, I returned to Graduate School to complete a Masters in Counseling from Webster University, graduating March 7, 2009, and then received my state license as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). I received my B.S. from Appalachian State University in 1975. Life experience and my desire to give back to the community by offering support to women and girls prompted me to pursue this new life challenge. Having raised three children and watching them successfully navigate independence, I understand the importance of family, and how our life experiences, past and present, can affect our life choices.
